Shoebox Kindness for Our Local Care Homes
Christmas is a time for giving, sharing and showing kindness, and this year we’re inviting our wonderful community to help us make the festive season extra special for some of our local care home residents.
We’re running a Christmas Shoebox Campaign to spread a little festive magic to the residents of Magnolia House and Tewkesbury Fields.
We’re asking you to help us fill shoeboxes with thoughtful little gifts. Every donation, no matter how big or small, can make a real difference and help brighten someone’s day.
So, why not add an extra little gift to your shopping list, fill a shoebox and help us make this Christmas one to remember?
What Can You Donate?
There are plenty of lovely treats and thoughtful gifts that would be perfect for our shoeboxes, including:
- Arts & Crafts: Colouring books, pens and pencils
- Puzzles & Games: Either in book form or jigsaw puzzles
- Pamper Treats: Hand cream, body spray, soap, shower gel and body lotion
- Sweet Treats: Soft sweets, chocolates (such as Milk Tray, Walnut Whips and chocolate buttons), biscuits, shortbread and selection boxes
- Cosy Comforts: Socks, fluffy socks and cosy blankets
- Everyday Essentials: Tissues, handkerchiefs and calendars
A little note about wrapping
If you donate a shoebox gift, please remember to wrap the box and lid separately. This means the boxes can be opened easily without having to tear the wrapping paper.
Please also do not seal the box shut or tape the lid on.
Where and when to donate
Simply bring your shoebox gifts to Guest Services at the outlet by Wednesday 16th December.
