Last year’s Cheltenham Festival was worth an estimated £274 million to the local economy. This is nearly three times the figure generated back in 2016 when a study was last undertaken.
Over the four-day period, the festival routinely attracts over 250,000 spectators and a third of them extend their stay, either arriving early or staying later to explore the surrounding area.
Clearly a huge opportunity for linked trips and boosting opportunities for the outlet.
